Music Ministries

The music ministries of BBC are designed to involve as many people as possible while maintaining standards of excellence and solid conservative principles.  Opportunities to be involved exist for all from 1st grade through Senior Saints.  Two children's choirs prepare weekly for presentations on a monthly basis.  The adult choir participates in both Sunday services and an annual Christmas program.  The adult ensemble sings monthly as well.  Other vocalists include solos, duets, and small groups of varying sizes.  It is not unusual to have 25-30 different individuals on the monthly schedule not including the choirs.  As with all ministries of BBC, participants are church members with a desire to serve their Savior.

Instrumental opportunities for service abound as well.  With three choirs practicing at 5:00 p.m. on Sundays, several pianists are needed.  God has blessed us with many able pianists and several organists who give flexibility and variety to the program.  We encourage the development of future church instrumentalists by scheduling them for offertories on Sunday and Wednesday evenings.  Currently our members play instruments such as the piano, organ, trumpet, trombone, baritone, flute, violin, cello, mandolin, banjo and acoustic guitar.

Our musical style is conservative using music from composers and arrangers like Ron and Shelly Hamilton, Frank and Flora Jean Garlock, Al Smith, Lloyd Smith, and John W. Peterson.  The purpose of our music is to point to Christ and prepare the heart for the preaching of the Word of God.  The presentation of our music is without flourish or fanfare, "…hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;" Colossians 3:16
